Development Manager / Senior Youth Worker Vacancy
Are you a self-starter and passionately committed to helping to transform the lives of young, often disadvantaged people?
If you are, we’d love to hear from you.
We are a dynamic, young charity, based in the heart of Islington on Upper Street, working with children, young people and their families, as well as providing a home for the community activities of a wide cross-section of local residents. We believe that everyone, especially those suffering disadvantages, should have the opportunity to improve their lives and so we are committed to do all we can to help everyone we work with to discover what they are capable of and inspire them to pursue their goals.
A key focus is our Youth Club, which holds a Gold Standards Quality Mark and has recently been awarded a large National Lottery grant alongside a BBC Children in Need award. Our aim is significantly to grow our youth engagement and employability work, particularly important in Islington where youth unemployment and child poverty are particularly high.
Everyone who works in our Youth Club, whatever their position is determined to make positive changes to the lives of our young members.
We are now looking for a qualified and experienced professional Youth Work Manager to lead in our Youth Club service. Whoever decides to join us must share our values and ambitions and be ready for the challenge of leading our expanding youth work, aimed at radically changing the lives and future prospects of many more of Islington’s young people.
If you feel you fit the criteria, we would love to hear from you. Please read on to find out more.
