Mary’s Play Scheme
Mary’s Play Scheme is operated for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old during 9 weeks of the school holidays. The weeks during which the scheme operates are:
- during the three half term holidays,
- during 2 weeks in the Easter holidays and
- during 4 weeks of the summer holidays.
The Play Scheme is closed during bank holidays. The hrs of operation are between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm.
Mary’s provides between 25 and 50 places each day during its Play Schemes subject to what is on the planned programme.
Play Scheme Fees and Funding
Mary’s charges a daily fee plus an additional extended day session fee. These fees do not include the outing fees that are charged at cost for days when the children are taken on trips. The cost of the play scheme is only part funded by fees and part funded by the London Borough of Islington. The funding from Islington Council is coming to an end in the summer of 2017 and therefore the charges are subject to change. Please check up-to-date fee information on Mary’s web site.
We offer a 30% sibling discount, a 25% discount for children with disabilities and a reduced rate per child per day for a limited number of low income working families. The low income discounts are allocated on a first come, first served bases (total joint income must be under £25,000 per annum, proof is required to be considered for this concession).
Admission to the play scheme is through a formal application process made in advance by parents or legal guardians using Mary’s online application form. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served bases and please note that once bookings have been invoiced fees are due and non refundable even if your child does not attend (please see our cancellation policy below).
If your child has (SEND) Special Educational Needs Disabilities, or a medical need requiring medication during the scheme, you will need to inform us immediately as we may need to liaise with you and /or your child’s school before the end of term. This is in order to be clear we are meeting your child’s needs within the scheme. All children’s medication will need to be prescribed, if being taken on site, with additional parental consent and in some cases a health care plan put in place. If your child has an Emergency Action Plan in place, please bring it in so a copy can be taken for our records.
Please note – Your child may not be able to stay in the scheme if you fail to give staff the appropriate medical information and medication for your child’s needs.
If you do need to cancel any pre-booked sessions please contact us on 020 7704 1895 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org at the earliest opportunity so we can update the registers.
If the cancellation request is received seven or less days before your child is due to attend you will not be entitled to any credit/refund and your sessions will be lost.
